What is the FlashForge Creator 5 Pro and what can it print?
The FlashForge Creator 5 Pro is a fully enclosed and filtered CoreXY FDM printer with four independent toolheads. Instead of pushing several filaments through one shared nozzle, the machine physically parks and picks up complete print heads — FlashForge calls the system FlashSwap — so colour and material changes happen with almost no purge waste.
It's the enclosed, actively heated version of the Creator 5. The two models are sold separately and a standard Creator 5 cannot be upgraded to a Pro later.

The control board uses a dual-core Cortex-A53 processor with 8 GB of onboard storage, and the firmware supports pressure advance, automatic bed levelling and vibration compensation.
What materials can it run?
FlashForge lists a wide material range for the Pro, including PLA, PETG, TPU (90A–95A, plus TPU‑64D), PLA‑CF, PETG‑CF, PET, PET‑CF, SILK, PVA, BVOH, ABS, ASA, PA‑CF, PAHT‑CF, ASA‑CF/GF, ABS‑CF/GF, PPA‑CF/GF and HIPS. The 65 °C heated chamber is what makes the higher-temperature, warp-prone materials practical — FlashForge specifically lists PC, PA, PC‑ABS and PPS‑CF as materials supported thanks to the enclosure.
Soft TPU (90A) is fed from a top external mount rather than the internal path.
The hardened steel nozzles are intended for abrasive composites, so CF- and GF-filled filaments are fair game out of the box.
Can I use filaments.ca filament in it?
Yes! Our standard 1 kg spool dimensions fit the Creator 5 Pro's four spool holders, but you should expect to adjust temperatures and other parameters slightly, since brands differ. Start from the built-in material profile closest to what you're running, then tune.

Setup and calibration
- Unbox, remove the shipping locks, and install the filament tubes and spool holders.
- Run the guided calibration. This includes automatic bed levelling, Z-offset and the automatic multi-toolhead offset routine that aligns all four nozzles to each other. Reviewers report the full first-run routine takes roughly 20–30 minutes.
- Run vibration compensation once when you first set the printer up.
- Load filament into each toolhead you plan to use and assign materials in the slicer.
After that, you don't need to recalibrate before every print. Re-run auto levelling after any nozzle change or if you move the printer, and re-run vibration compensation only if you start seeing ringing or the belts loosen.
Software and remote printing
The Creator 5 Pro is supported by Flash Studio Desktop (the renamed Orca‑Flashforge) and by standard OrcaSlicer, with the Flash Maker / Flash Studio mobile app for monitoring. Flash Studio is the easier choice for multi-toolhead jobs because material-to-toolhead assignment and the machine profiles are already set up.

You can send jobs over Wi‑Fi or LAN, or print from a USB drive — FlashForge notes the drive must be formatted FAT32.
An onboard camera handles remote monitoring and timelapses, and the printer includes filament run-out, filament tangle, door-open and chamber-temperature sensors, plus AI spaghetti and foreign-object detection.
